KARACHI: University of Karachi (KU)’s Vice Chancellor Prof Muhammad Qaiser has said that the university is promoting standard education by implementing upon all necessary steps.
He expressed these views in Semester Examination 2012 result announcing ceremony, presided over by Prof Dr Haider Abbas Rizvi here on Monday.
Prof Qaiser said that timely result announcement boosts the students’ morale and that conducting a ceremony for the announcement of semester examination result after 20 years was an evidence of varsity’s progress. On the occasion, Dr Rizvi informed that the university announced semester result of 16 departments which was also uploaded on the official KU website. He said that the role played by teachers and professors in this regard was vital.
Dr Rizvi said that the university had announced results of 16 departments, including Commerce, Genetics, Islamic History, Islamic Learning, Philosophy, Physiology, Psychology, Quran wa Sunnah, Sindhi, Special Education, Statistics, Social Work, Urdu and Usool-e-Din. It is pertinent to mention here that the announcement of KU semester examination result was an old ritual now revived after 20 years. staff report
