The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has announced the result of Intermediate 2nd year Science (General) Annual Examination 2008.
Huma Amin Chhotani from D.A. Degree College for Women obtained 930 marks out of 1,100 (84.55%) to take the 1st position. Muhammad Amin Mohiuddin of DHA Degree College for Men got 899 marks (81.73%) to remain 2nd while Sara Ansari from BAMM PECHS Govt. College for Women, and Urooj Amanullah shared the 3rd slot as each obtained 855 marks (77.73%).
A total of 1,856 candidates registered for the exam while 1,826 appeared in the same and the passing result remained 30.67 per cent as 560 candidates succeeded in the exam. Only one male candidate and one female candidate (the top two position holders) managed to get A-1 grades while five boys and 33 girls passed their exam in A grade. A total of 155 candidates passed in B, 245 in C, 112 in D and 2 candidates passed in E grade.
