The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Monday announced the result of Higher Secondary School Certificate part-II (class-XII) Commerce regular and private annual examinations 2008.
In Commerce (regular), Muhammad Amin s/o Muhammad Anwer bearing seat number 282140 and Hassan-e-Mujtaba seat number 282125 of Institute of Business Education bagged the first and second positions, respectively, while Ismat Fatima d/o Ahmed Ali Jivani roll number 291949 of DA Degree College for Women DHA took the third position.
A total of 24,153 candidates both male and female appeared in the examination and 13,650 were declared pass. Of them 109 in A-1 grade, 1401 in A grade, 3,226 in B, 5321 in C, 3449 in D and 144 in E grade. The overall pass percentage remained at 56.51.
In Commerce (private), Syed Zaigham Riaz s/o Syed Riaz Hussain Sherazi seat number 373920 clinched the first position, Sadia Hussain d/o Khalid Hussain seat number 391914 bagged second and Tahira Farid Ansari d/o Fariduddin Ashraf Ansari roll number 375512 obtained the third position.
As many as 11,252 candidates took part in the examination and 4,709 passed, amongst them only two passed in A-1 grade, 38 in A, 446 in B, 1907 in C, 2188 D and 128 in E grade. The pass percentage stood at 41.85.
